BRANDON GROTESQUE - TEXT TYPE SPECIMEN
This work was done during a typography course at Politecnico di Milano (second year of Communication Design Bachelor’s Degree).
It is a specimen, a little book that has the purpose of present, communicate and transmit the main features and possible uses of a font. The font in question is Brandon Grotesque by Hannes von Dören. It is sans serif, geometrical and modern with rounded corners that make it friendlier and approachable.
I underlined the importance of the author opening and closing the book with a little part of an interview. Then I presented all the family font with its twelve weights and the glyph palette. Showing also all the weights in different dimensions, I demonstrate the flexibility of this font that can be used for every situation, from headings to small notations.

BRANDON GROTESQUE - SPECIMEN DEL CARATTERE
Questo lavoro è stato svolto durante un corso di tipografia del Politecnico di Milano (secondo anno del corso di Laurea Triennale in Design della Comunicazione).
Si tratta di uno specimen, un piccolo fascicolo con lo scopo di presentare, comunicare e trasmettere le caratteristiche più importanti e i possibili utilizzi di un carattere tipografico. Il font in questione è il Brandon Grotesque, disegnato da Hannes von Dören. Si tratta di un font sans serif, geometrico e moderno, con gli angoli arrotondati che lo rendono accessibile, amichevole; trasmette serietà, ma non durezza e rigorosità.
Io ho voluto sottolineare l'importanza del progettista inserendo, in apertura e in chiusura, una piccola parte di una sua intervista. Ho poi mostrato l'intera famiglia del carattere, con i suoi dodici pesi, e i glifi. Presentando tutti i pesi in dimensioni differenti, ho dimostrato la flessibilità di questo carattere che può essere usato per qualunque situazione, dalle titolazioni alle note più piccole.
